Affiliate disclosure

Draft for counsel review — September 19, 2026. This version covers every grai.ls property that carries affiliate links.

The disclosure

As an eBay Partner Network Affiliate, I earn from qualifying purchases.

What that means in plain language

An affiliate link is a link to a marketplace that carries a tracking code. If you follow such a link and then make a qualifying purchase, the marketplace pays the site that sent you a small commission. The price you pay does not change — the commission comes out of the marketplace's side, not yours. The US Federal Trade Commission expects sites that earn this way to say so clearly, before you click, so you can weigh that relationship when deciding whether to follow a link. That is what this page is for, and it is a standard we agree with: you should always know when a link pays us.

Where the disclosure applies

It covers grai.ls properties — this website, the grai.ls app, and any other site we operate — wherever they carry affiliate links. Those links are to listings, or to a marketplace search for a card, and the disclosure is presented adjacent to them rather than buried here: a notice you have to go looking for is not a disclosure.

How affiliate links fit the site

grai.ls shows cards and what is listed for them, and when you follow a link from here to a marketplace such as eBay, that outbound link may carry a tracking code. Two commitments govern every link that does. First, disclosure travels with the link: any link that pays us says so beside it, where you can read it before you tap. Second, commissions never decide what you see: a listing is shown whether or not we can earn from it.
